Surprise!!! Battle with Leader Korrina!!!

Hey Everyone!!!

So today while I was playing my Pokemon Y Version, when I got to a point of the game in Geosenge Town, Leader Korrina shows up!!! She says that her Lucario (The one that likes you) wants to challenge you to a battle!!! This is a huge surprise and you don’t get time to prepare for the battle, until now!!! This is the full Guide + Walkthrough to leading Korrina down the drain!!! (Sorry, Sorry about that…)

My Team (That was used):

Quilladin (Lv 24) – Pin Missile, Vine Whip, Rollout, Bite.

Combusken (Lv 24) – Scratch, Peck, Double Kick, Ember.

Honedge (Lv 25) – Cut, Swords Dance, Aerial Ace, Shadow Sneak.

Korrina’s Team:

Lucario (Lv 25) – Fighting/Steel:  – Metal Sound

– Power-Up Punch

– Feint

– ???

Not too hard of a battle. Combusken can take it out with 2 – 3 Ember’s or Double Kick’s. Power-Up Punch is a new move introduced into Gen VI. It is a 40 Base Power Fighting Type Physical Attack Move. It also raises the user’s Attack by One Stage after being used. Don’t worry though as it is not a threat on this moveset. Metal Sound being such a gimmicky move with 85% Accuracy just doesn’t make sense on this moveset unless there is a Special Attack hiding in Lucario 1’s arsenal. Honedge can easily take it out with one Sword’s Dance + 2 Shadow Sneaks and any Ground Type Pokemon (Sandile however is a risk since of it’s secondary Dark Type) can take it out pretty easily. On top of all this, a Fairy or Psychic Pokemon shouldn’t have trouble taking out this Lucario either.

Lucario (Lv 25) – Fighting/Steel:  – Metal Sound

– Swords Dance

– ???

– ???

Considering these Lucario are both the same Level, I suspect Number 1’s Hidden Move is Swords Dance and Number 2’s Hidden Moves are Power-Up Punch and Feint. Still Metal Sound is a waste of space their but whatever. This Lucario goes for a Metal Sound, Swords Dance X2 combination most times which is really stupid considering lowering the target’s Special Defence and powering up your Attack isn’t going to give you the 4X Bonus but hey, it’s not my Pokemon so I don’t care. The exact same thing for beating Lucario 1 goes for beating Lucario 2. Yep. The EXACT SAME THING!!! So nothing else really needs to be said here.

Then she says “Oh so that’s why my Lucario likes you!” asks you to visit her Gym in Shalour City to say ‘Hi’ (Really, Hi. I’d rather earn a badge but o…. oh the battle is a hi…)

Then she leaves on her Roller Skates. That’s a real good ending to a surprising battle. Good Work Game Freak. Good Work.

It’s still not worse that the Infestatin TM though.

I don’t think ANYTHING could get worse then that.

Did I ever tell you how much I HATE INFESTATION!!!

I don’t think I am going to get over that any time soon.

Do you think I’ll get over Infestation any time soon? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!!!

Oh yeah and if you had any problems or questions about this battle you can let my know in the comments below as well.

(P.S. I Lied.)

I HATE INFESTATION SO MUCH!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Catching/Battling Snorlax

REMEMBER!!! SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE GOING INTO A BIG BATTLE OR TRYING TO CATCH AN ‘ONLY ONE IN GAME’ POKEMON!!! THIS IS SO IF YOU DON’T SUCCEED THE FIRST TIME, YOU CAN TURN YOUR POWER BACK OFF AND ON AND TRY AGAIN!!!

Hey Everyone!

So today in my Pokemon Y Version I came up to a point where I had to wake up a Snorlax blocking the path with a Poke Flute. (So Original!) Anyways don’t ask me how that Snorlax hadn’t of broken the Wooden Bridge already while sleeping on it (Since Snorlax is heavy, and fat.) but once you get the Poke Flute from Parfum Palace (and spend 5 or whatever minutes with the annoying Shauna in my opinion.) go back to the bridge in Route 7 to wake up and battle Snorlax.

NEW POKEMON:

The New Pokemon Honedge (Steel/Ghost) and Espurr (Psychic) can be found on the outsides of Route 6. These areas can be accessed from the outside paths of the Frontyard of Parfum Palace.

HM ALERT:

Although it sucks, HM01 Cut can be found in the middle of the Backyard of Parfum Palace. It’s still not worse than Infestation though. Stupid Infestation.

Wartortle (Lv 18): Tackle, Bubble, Water Gun, Bite.

Snorlax (Lv 15) – Normal:

– Tackle

– Defense Curl

– Amnesia

– Lick

As if this sleeping bear or whatever didn’t already have enough high defences. Also with High HP, this Snorlax is one tough Pokemon, even at only Lv 15. With strong Defences starting off, it has Defense Curl and Amnesia to keep on stockpiling them even higher. It is also holding Sitrus Berry to restore it’s HP a little when in the ‘Yellow Zone’ of it’s HP Bar. Let’s just say that without good planning, this could be a VERY LONG battle. Catching this Defensive Madman is even harder. It’s recommended that you should try to get Snorlax’s HP to around 1 – 5 HP before trying to catch it as at this HP with no status alignments on it, it is a 1/3 chance you will succeed in catching it with an ordinary Poke Ball. False Swipe is a good option as you get this TM before having to come across Snorlax.

It isn’t really possible to predict what moves Snorlax will use as it is a Wild Pokemon but the best option (and it is advised) is to try and end this battle quickly before Snorlax tries stockpiling itself with a number of Defense Curls + Amnesia’s. Combusken’s Double Kick can take care of Snorlax in a couple shots even with a Defense Curl up. Early Soild STAB Moves such as Vine Whip and Ember can also inflict satisfying damage onto Snorlax. Honedge’s Sword’s Dance + Pursuit/Tackle can also put pressure onto Snorlax. Watch out for Snorlax’s Lick though as it is Super Effective against Honedge and can wipe Honedge out in 2 – 4 Shots. Honedge’s Metal Sound is also very good at stoping Amnesia’s from going up and can successfully lower Snorlax’s Special Defence’s allowing someone like Wartortle to come in and inflict damage onto Snorlax with a STAB Water Gun. As Honedge however is seriously prone to Lick, it will be hard getting both Metal Sound + Swords Dance/Attack Move both up though. Metal Sound’s gets 100% Accuracy with Honedge’s No Guard Ability which can be a big bonus in this battle. Watch out for Lick’s bonus Paralysis effect as well as it can take a toll on your team.

It is advised to go into this battle with a High Special Attack + Speed Pokemon to try and stop Snorlax from piling up it’s defences if you don’t have Honedge with you. Espurr is a good choice. Even Flabebe can be a good choice with Fairy Wind.

That’s practically it. The main thing is to stop Snorlax from piling it’s Defences. So as that say, “A quick game’s a good game!”
